Positive: Great location on hastings street - hotel backs onto the beach so perfect for walks. Room had everything you needed - tea/coffee as well as a fridge and toaster.
Negative: Some of the rooms - including ours had windows that face into the main walk way. This is good for light and air - but terrible for noise. I found that people that walked through there either early in the morning or late at night making noise echoed through the whole hallway and into our room. Also - cleaners who came at 9am were particularly noisy (it's a reasonable time to make noise) as their equipment on the tiles echoed quite loudly.
Summary: An excellent hotel that provides in room amenities, so you don't have to go out to eat all the time.
